Hey there! I’m Nolan Matthews, a photographer and filmmaker based in Salt Lake City. My work is all about capturing the moments that connect, inspire, and tell a story—whether that’s through photography, film, or directing a full-scale production. 

Before diving into this career, I spent years in a corporate desk job, chasing deadlines instead of creative fulfillment. One day, after sitting within the monotonous routine of my corporate surroundings, something hit me—there was more out there and now was the time to chase it. I was yearning to create, to tell stories, and to work in an environment that felt dynamic and meaningful. Now, I use that as my driving force every single day.

I have a deep passion for the outdoors, especially skiing, and I’m drawn to projects within the hospitality, outdoor, and tourism industries. Whether I’m shooting on the slopes, capturing the energy of a new destination, or crafting a brand’s visual identity, I thrive in environments that celebrate adventure and experience.

Collaboration is at the heart of what I do. As a director, photographer, or filmmaker, I love working alongside talented teams to bring a creative vision to life. I regularly collaborate with an incredible network of producers, digi techs, and editors—people who share my drive for storytelling and visual excellence.

I’m based in Salt Lake City and love working locally, but I’m always up for an adventure. Travel assignments are a big part of what fuels my creativity—my bag is always packed and ready to roll.
